Do or die slogan was given by Mahatma Gandhi. He gave this slogan to start the Quit India Movement or the Bharat Chhodo Andolan. The slogan was raised at Bombay on 8th August 1942. The slogan meant that every Indian either die or achieve freedom. It was a call for every Indian that they should consider themselves as a free man. This slogan echoed all over Hindustan(India) during freedom struggle.
