its painting. He sold it for ₹42,000. What was his gain or loss?

2. A bicycle is sold at a profit of ₹350. If the selling price is ₹1275.

Find the price at which it was bought.

total c.p=₹40000+₹1750=41750

s.p=₹42000. (sp>cp)

gain =sp-cp=₹(42000-41750)=₹250

gain%=100×gain/cp

=100×250/41750=0.5988%

2)

we know ,profit =sp-cp

₹350=₹1275-cp

cp=₹(1275-350)=925

hence ,the price of bought =925

3)

loss =cp-sp=₹(800-760)=40

loss%= 100×loss/cp=100×40/800=5%
