hello friend,
1. The laws allowing the British Government to restrict import of corn is known as "Corn Law".
2. These laws were abolished because the industrialists and urban dwellers were unhappy with high food prices; as a result of which they were forced the abolition of Corn Laws.
3. The result was that now the food could be imported into Britain at a more cheaper rate.
