Yes I agree whatever the bishop did.his generosity and kindness tranformed the convict from beast to a man.it was his greatness that helped the old woman to pay her rent who was too old to work and earn. He was so generous that he never complaint and was always ready for helping others.at last,we see that he even gave his precious candlestick to convict so that he can start a new life again by selling it.so he was a person who has kind heart and can change anyone's attitude and behaviour.
