It is true that globalization leads to cultural heterogeneity. Globalization will give rise to a uniform global culture i.e., cultural homogeneity, but it will also cause an exactly the opposite effect called the cultural heterogeneity.

Cultures are not static but are dynamic. Cultures will always undergo the process of development, and at each every point in time, undergoing some gradual transformation. There can always changes occur in a culture without changing the basic essence. Such changes caused by external influences will only increase our choices. They don’t restrict us. They give individuality to our culture. Therefore, it would be correct to say that globalization leads to cultural heterogeneity.
