Explanation:

I was deeply moved by the gesture of Mini's father at the end of the story. It was when he, being a father could identify with the father who carried the hand print of his daughter close to his heart which was the only memory of his daughter he carried when he came to India from Afghanistan to sell dry fruits. Mini's father was busy in the celebrations of his daughter's wedding and appearance of Kabuliwala was a sort of disturbance at that auspicious occasion. Kabuliwala intently wanted to see Mini as he still carried the image of little Mini and couldn't believe his eyes that she had grown so big. Looking at her he recalls his own daughter in his homeland must have grown up. When he shows her handprint to the author, the author could understand his emotions and helped him by giving money to return to his family. It was a noble act that Mini's father did and all of a sudden it makes him worthy of readers' admiration and respect.
