yes . ...but what do mean by
prayers are of two types one in which you are asking for something …. second in which you are just feeling thankful to any Deity or God or any dead holy man who was religious in his life and have done miracles when he was live… so if you are asking prayers works i can say yes they do but not because God is listening you don’t know even their is one… but their are deities and other dead holy man that works … i will talk about these two because both works almost in same way… you pray you ask for something every diety is different even every baba (hindu saints) , peer ( Islamic saints) is different all of them are now energies … they can came when you ask them and do the procedures which suits them and offer them what they likes … you give them place in your house … in temples and dargah’s they have their permanent place.. they have live their life dedicating to humanity … praising god or creator ( even if their is not any) and they were fearless so even after leaving their bodies they are ready for helping others with some conditions…. in some cases you have to respect them and pay things ( not cost much or even nothing) example offering sweet dishes will cost you nothing and most of it will be eaten by you only… if you know the exact way of praying a particular deity ( some like sweet some sour some meat some fish anything their are no. of energies their are no limits some have small height some are are larger then building, don’t think smaller one’s are less powerful) most real tantriks / pandits and followers of peers knows how to use their deity and what to offer.. most people go hit and try method which sometimes work sometimes not but totkas ( old methods of giving food or water or even meat for some animals work) if you want to experience if these things work go to any famous temple or dargah which was proved good for many people talk to the owner make a sukna/vada if your particular work get success you will do the required offering he will tell you to repeat some rituals everyday which will be easy ad you will be able to feel the difference in few weeks ….
Now the problem is most temples and dargahs have fake owners and dieties they worship could be something else … you see a Hindu deity in temple you run after him you don’t even know even if the energy is same and same goes for dargah ……
i have visited dargah in a town where he told me to offer meat to dog by rotating above my head …. but when i visited my vilage a peer follower told me peer don’t accept meet they can take simple chadar/green cloth sheet or sweet dish on particular day … going after wrong temples and dargah will not make your prayer work and may even make the case worse….
Now if you pray at home…. you may have something that your ancestors or parents are worshiping ( deity ) same upper procedure will occur but f you only pray to GOD two things happen if you are asking with confidence for something it will happen because of law of attraction if you are repeating it… if you just pray not ask for anything don’t complain about anything change will starts happening inside you after much time you will be a different person … good energies in universe including deities come for you … if you still remain the way you are one day ENLIGHTENMENT
