We have thousands of festivals , celebrations or special events or special times of the year. We have national events, family events, religious events, harvest festivals or at times there are large-scale events when large masses enjoy together.

The features of a festival include merry-making, dancing, singing, processions, etc. In some events special colorful costumes are designed and worn to add to the charm of the festival.

Highlighting about the Indian culture, an Indian yogi and author, Sadguru states that once there was a time in India when all 365 days of the year had a particular importance and was celebrated as a festival. A festival brings cheerfulness and enthusiasm to the hearts of the people. The whole lot of people was in a state of celebration.Festivals definitely inculcate a sense of enthusiasm and cheerfulness in the folks and is really a way to lighten our spirits after the long and tiresome working ways. Festivals are a hope that make us look forward with excitement and enjoy with merrymaking , a joyful atmosphere with new outfits, delicious food, dance and music and the togetherness that is refreshing and brings a sense of contentment to our lives.
