• It is without doubt the fossil fuel industry is affected by such a lockdown. The price of oil has gone down with fewer cars on highways and in the air. This may be good news for the climate as oil is the main source of the carbon emissions, which heat the planet and disrupt the weather. Emissions are decreasing worldwide and without precedent
• However, although the lockdowns are on immediate break, nature has filled the void. Urban wildlife certainly looks better, so that is something to enjoy. This pandemic has without doubt resulted from indiscriminate deforestation, ocean & river pollution, mining, and wildlife consumption.
