Thus struggling, he decides to find out his father’s sister, Miss Betsey Trotwood. His life becomes better. He is admitted to Dr. Strong’s school. He rents Mr. Wickfield’s room. Mr. Wickfield’s lovely daughter, Agnes and David become friends.
David’s life moves up and down interacting with all types of people. David’s goodness remains unchanged and unaffected by the influence of these characters. He is shocked by Emily’s decision of eloping with James Steerforth, who later on ditches her.
David is awed by the strength of Mr. Peggoty and Ham’s characters. We, the readers feel his joy when he falls in love with Dora; we also feel how much pained he is at her death.
Finally, David reaches a stable and peaceful life after he marries Agnes. David Copperfield is a wonderful story that keeps us engaged and intrigued on every page until the end.
