in my view, Gaston is not likeable person . he can deceive any one and has commanding impact on his wife . he is very shrewed and he gives the importance only to his own profit . it would not be wrong to call him shrewed, clever , crafty and dominating......

In my point of view, Yes I like Gaston because he is an intelligent person and also very clear in thinking. I say so because he is shrewd businessman who managed to make a good profit of hundred thousand francs on a property that he never owned. In the part, He pretends to be the Juliette's husband and manages to sell the villa that belonged to Juliette to Mrs.Al Smith and also acquired a picture by an artist named carot in the end.
