for understanding it,Let see definition of each ?
rhombus:- it is a parallelogram which all sides are equal.
square :- it is also a parallelogram which all sides are equal and angle between two side is 90°.

now here you question, a rhombus is  a square ?
by explanation we observed that every square are also a rhombus but all rhombus are not square. because for square it is required that all sides will be equal and angle between two sides must be 90°.
finally, our answer is no !!
                 rhombus is not a square.

Heya !!!

This is your Answer.

To understand the question, let us first know what is square and what is Rhombus?

A SQUARE :-

All sides are equal.
All angles are of 90°.
Diagonals are perpendicular bisector of each other.
Diagonals are equal.

A RHOMBUS :-
All sides are equal.
Diagonals bisect each other.

If a figure is given and all its sides are equal.
Then we can surely say that it's a rhombus but We can't say that it's a square.

To check whether it is a square or not, we have to check its angles too.

If all angles are of 90°. then it's a square. If all angles are not of 90°. Then it's a rhombus, but not square .

So we can say that all rhombus are square but all squares are not rhombus.

CONCLUSION :-
A rhombus may be square. but not always.
But a A square is always a RHOMBUS.
