I guess children learn faster when they are playful rather than being quiet and serious, as their brains would be active to grasp all the knowledge given to them.

Moreover, learning would no longer be boring or monotonous for them.

Otherwise, their brains would be lethargic to grasp any knowledge imparted to them.
