yes, it is useful because it helps to classify ones occupation......it also is useful is calculating the country's GDP.........it also tells us about the trend .......trend in the sense... which occupation is better ........which one is offering more comfort etc

Yes, the classification of economic activities into primary,secondary and tertiary sector is useful

because of the following reasons :-

It helps us to know about what are the share of each sector in GDP in our country

It helps us to know how many workers are employed or working in primary, secondary and tertiary sector.

It tells us that which sector is gaining more importance.

Secondary sector is gradually becoming most important in total production and employment. But there is shift taken place The service sector has become the most important in terms of total production.
