I think the names are befitting because when
Blackie Burns runs over a policeman, he doesn’t stop and creates a commotion. He
burns the chance of getting escaped in peace and also loses the car. He seems to be the man who does all the
foot-work.
Hasty Hogan though portrayed as a man who does all the planning, observant and a man who knows all about the place, he is also portrayed as a man who does things impulsively due to overconfidence. This shows when he says, “Leave it to me, kid.” Both of them does things what they are good at and does not plan properly, this is what leads both of them in getting arrested and losing their loot.
