the price of a shirt is lowered by 6% to RS. 500. What was the original price? By how much was the price reduced

total % at which shirt was sold after reduction in price=100%-6%=94%
now let the price before be x
so
500=94% of x
500=94/100×x
500×100/94=x
50000/94=x
₹526.5(app)=x
Price reduced=526.5-500=₹26.5

Price of a shirt = rs 500
% lowered = 6%
So,
500 + (6% of 500)
=500 + (6/100 of 500)
=500 + 30
=530
So, the original price of the shirt is 530.
Amount by which it was reduced is
530 - 500 = 30
