While India is a democratic nation, it cannot be called a perfect democratic nation
Explanation:
- Even if India became a free country on 15th August 1947, by the adoption of the Constitution on 26 January 1950, it was declared Sovereign, Democrats and the Republic. The Constitution allowed India's people the right to decide & choose their own govt and this paved the way for democracy.
- However, no nation is a perfect democracy since all democratic nation have to realize the ideals of "democratic decision-making". This can not be accomplished for once. An India is no exception to this. This requires an ongoing effort to preserve and strengthen democratic decision-making processes. What we do as a citizen can contribute to our country's democratic development
