Do you think larger scale use silkworms for making silk can lead to extinction of silkworm? why or why not?

It can lead to extinction of the silkworms as since they are used in making silk on a large scale as there is a huge demand of silk in the market . Also species of silkworms are being used to produce silk due to which silkworms are not able to produce their young ones as they are made died . so it leads to extinction of silkworms.
