Answer:
Examination system in India is quite obsolete and ridden with flaws. Owing to the inefficiency of this system the quality of skilled professionals produced in our country is very poor. The fact is Indian examination system is not recognized in the advanced countries. Indian professionals have to pass exams in these countries to be qualified to do jobs there.
Indian examination system needs to be overhauled and made more efficient to bring it to world class level. From pen paper based exams, the system should start computer based exams. The paper based exams suffers from many flaws such as cheating, copying, and other unfair means. In backwards states, using and providing unfair means in the exams has become a lucrative business. Students prefer using unfair means to learning the syllabus for exams. All these flaws exist because of the poor examination system.
In such a scenario students who use unfair means may score more than industrious and bright students. Is it not a flaw? These students who score high grades are then selected for various responsible and high posts. You can imagine the kind of efficiency and honesty they must be putting in to do their jobs!
Indian Examination System encourages students to cram at the cost of understanding, which is quite harmful for the students as well as generally. Our examination system does not encourage skill development. It promotes only rote learning which is not useful in practical life.
The Government must pay heed to improving the examination system to improve the quality of skills in all spheres. India will automatically become advanced when its examination system becomes foolproof.
