Yeah it's useful as in our country India the primary and secondary sector helps in the development of the country so the government implement policies to increase the primary and secondary sector activities hence there is development in the primary and secondary sector so it is useful to classify Primary secondary and tertiary sectors

Yes, the classification of economic activities into primary,secondary and tertiary sector is useful

because of the following reasons :-

It helps us to know about what are the share of each sector in GDP in our country

It helps us to know how many workers are employed or working in primary, secondary and tertiary sector.

It tells us that which sector is gaining more importance.

Secondary sector is gradually becoming most important in total production and employment. But there is shift taken place The service sector has become the most important in terms of total production.
