When Dunn proceeded with euthanasia he was morally liable for Maggie’s death. One can argue that it was Maggie who requested her death but it is clear that the Principle of Nonmaleficence requires a written will that is approved by the court that can attest to Maggie’s request. The Principle of Mutual Aid is also violated because the help, which is removing her life support system that Dunn gave, caused a greater harm for Maggie instead of saving her from likely harms. It also violates the Principle of Just Paternalism because it should be Dunn who should think clearly or rationally for Maggie, instead he allowed his emotions to go over his reason. It also ended Maggie’s rational life plan because it resulted in an irreparable harm, which is Maggie’s death.
