Yes. Often individuals are stopped from voicing out their problems and opinions due to many reasons. Minority communities and traditionally oppressed groups like women and the scheduled castes also come under these. Literature, here, acts as a medium that lets them pour out their emotions and feelings. Literature has no biases towards this. People of any group and any ethnicity are free to express themselves. Written as books and stories, these have more chances of being read and understood that by simply speaking about it.
