Hello I can help you.

Mohammad bin Tughlaq is known in Indian history as the confused genius. Now I'll tell you all his plans which ended in a disaster.

1)Shifting of his capital from Delhi to Devagiri.

He shifted his capital to Devagiri because it was in the centre of his vast empire. But this caused great hardship to people and the northern part of his kingdom was attacked by the Mongols. He was then forced to shift his capital.

2) Mohammad bin Tughlaq issued the token currency. In this system, coins of brass and copper were stamped with a value equal to that of silver coins.
Since there was no proper check, this resulted in widespread fraud. People started minting coins at home. So he had to abolish this system.

3)He once increased the land tax in the fertile Ganga-Yamuna doab. But this was ill-timed as that region was passing through a great famine.
4) He undertook an expedition to the north-west, to China and Qarachil. Ibn Batuta, a Moroccan wazir in his court said," Whether this expedition succeeded or not, it led to the death of all his soldiers, excepting a few.
5) However, he did much good for his people. He believed in the divine-right theory of kingship. He did not allow religion and administration to mix. He opened many hospitals and almshouses and donated generously to scholars.

Thanks.

Hope it helps you.
