Physical barrier has been a hindrance in interaction with neighbouring countries since ages. Even Vindhya Mountain separated North and South India and it seems funny in present day.
But it is not as much as before.
**USA and Russia are separated by Bering strait. Still they are not in good terms.
**India could have a very good relation with Pakistan looking at our physical boundary. That boundary could have been a harbinger of scenic beauty.
BUT
Physical barrier juxtaposes with political barrier to make the situation worse.
**Despite having friendly tie with Afghanistan and for not having amicable relation with Pakistan,Indo-Afghan relation is not realising its true potential.
So conclusion is that Physical barrier can be hindrance in maintaining good relation with neighbouring countries for a developing nation.

In the modern times, physical barriers do not act as a hindrance to communication between neigh bouring countries.
This is due to technological advancement.
With the invention of mobile phones and laptops and the internet, we can easily interact with our friends and relatives who live miles and miles away via phone calls, emails etc.
