Yes, I think travel writing or travelogue definitely educates the reader about various cultures and societies. While travelling, a writer sees different cultures and different ways of living. When he documents the same, his readers naturally learns about these new things and new ways of life and thus helps them to educate about new cultures.

We see while reading the Travels of Marco Polo, we come to know about the various cultures of Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, India, China, Japan, Srilanka etc.

Answer:

Yes, travel writing obviously educates the reader about various culture and society.

Explanation:

Travelling is an effort in which the writer travels through a chosen region, providing data and comments on the location he / she is visiting. Travel writing is the traveller's deliberate act of making his / her experiences into papers for potential readership. A writer considers various cultures and distinct methods of living while travelling. Naturally, when he documents the same, his readers learn about these fresh stuff and new methods of living and therefore help them to learn about new societies.
