Do you think the magnitude of loss caused the disaster could have been reduced? give reasons.

Yeah , the loss caused by a disaster can be reduced by making the building according to the kind of disasters happening at a place . Like if a place is hit by a frequent cyclones then the buildings built shouldn’t be high rise as air speed closer to ground is low compared to a higher hights in the sky so damage will be more if a sky scrapers are built in those areas.
Whereas in other case where tsunamis hit frequently the buildings should be high rise so as to save people and other things from drowning in water . Water would not be able to reach higher hights and hence it won’t damage to people as all the people will be rescued to higher hight than the water .

And so just by constructing the buildings accordingly to the types of disasters , the loss caused by the disaster could be reduced or minimised .
