Moamoria Rebellion is considered as one of the key reasons of downfall of the Ahom Kingdom. It was a conflict between Ahom Kings and the Moran people of upper Assam,

The British however, saw it as a golden opportunity to annex Assam to the vast British empire which consisted of almost the whole of India Ahom kingdom fell down.

Explanation:The real aim of the rebellion was to dethrone the Ahom rulers and make their own rulers. The rebellion rised due to the evil activities of Ahom king, the rebels wanted a better life. While they were successfull in acomplishing their main aim and dethroned the Ahom kings but they were not able to bring peace for the common people. Rather when they ascended to the throne they fought among thselves for the power. And turned out to be the prime cause of foreign invasions and loss of independence for the region
