Yes,I think free access to map is a good thing as we will come to know about different places and extra information like climate,rainfall and crops grown.Not only this,it is very useful for tourists to know more about new place.

No, I don't think so. any government has to maintain currency in access to maps. otherwise it helps the enemies. but at parents satellite images river every place on the earth.
