Look when we use someone's photo or anything we have to fist take his or her permission,

but eklavya did not take dronacharya's

permissiom before using his statue

so I think what he did with eklavya is right

but he ask for right hand thumb

wherever, eklavya practiced for bow-arrow with left hand
