In nature there is a lot of agony hidden from our perception. We hear bird noises and we don’t think about the young birds that died Young. Most birds die young. When you have a bird as a pet you need to feed it, but nature feeds no one. Birds and other animals live a tragic life without comfort. The agony experienced is tremendous in nature and more than we can comprehend.

We are desensitized to Wildlife sufering and that is why we can watch gazelles being hunted by lions, but wincing when we see grotesque videos from a regular factory farm.
