To check whether (-3,-5) lies on given line or not just substitute the respective value

5(-3)-9(-5)

which gives 30 which is not equal to 14

hence it does not lie on the graph

⇒5x-9y=14

⇒5(-3)-9(-5)

=-15+45

= 30

⇒30≠14
