turn fan on & check the rotating speed of that disk in the energy-meter by turning the other electrical appliances off.

& the fact is somewhat yes but not that much you're expecting… :)

whenever you restrict inrush current by regulator, what actually is happened, because of more resistance high voltage drop takes place across it & dissipated heat is become responsible for more or less almost the same power consumption…

rather current consumption depends upon the rating of the armature coil…

there are so many people, conceptualize the electrical facts in diplomatic way… so why sometimes they sounds so terrible to understand…
