yes, sound and music can be differentiated.

sound--
it is produced by irregular vibration.
eg-burstling of crackers.it gives unpleasant effects to our ears.

music--
it is produced by regular vibration.it is pleasant to our ears.

Yes, they both are different.

MUSIC:-
Music is the specific arrangement of pitches and sounds to create some fixed product/narrative. Like arranging colors and patterns on a painting.


SOUND:-
In physics, sound is a vibration that typically propagates as an audible wave of pressure, through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. In human physiology and psychology, sound is the reception of such waves and their perception by the brain.
