Does carbonmonoxide cause acid rain or not

CO does not. The main contributors of acid rains are CO2, SO2 and NO2. Normal rainwater has a certain acidity (pH 5.6) due to dissolved CO2 and that's normal. ... Now the pH will be < 5.6 due to the H+ so formed and this water is acidic so it's called acid rain when it rains. Hope this helps
