Does heart and lungs help absorb oxygen in blood

No, neither the heart nor the lungs absorb oxygen. The heart is responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. The lungs filters the blood through gas exchange. But the blood absorbs oxygen into the haemoglobin forming a temporary compound called oxy- haemoglobin.
