Well, the value of magnetic susceptibility depends on the type of material you are using
Basically magnetic susceptibility is the ratio of intensity of magnetisation (M) to theat magnetising field intensity (H).

For Diamagnetic substances the value of susceptibility is small and negative (between -1 and 0)

For Paramagnetic substances susceptibility is small and positive.

For Ferromagnetic substances the value of susceptibility is very large and positive (greater than 1000).
