mass: the mass of a body is the quantity of matter contained in it.
mass is a scalar quantity.
SI unit of mass is kilogram.

BUT

The weight of a body is the force with which it is attracted towards the centre of the earth.
force= mass X acceleration.
wright is the vector quantity.
SI unit of weight is Newton.

Mass :-. The amount of matter contained in a body is called mass.



Weight:- The pull exerted on the body by the earth is known as weight.
