Does really punishment improve student. Why or Why not?

no, punishment does not improve student as they are only scared of teacher that if they didn't do their work they will be punished . there is no improvement and is just settlement of fear of punishment in them.

students does a lot of mistakes in the process of learning. if we go on punish them it's not at all fair. punishments can be given which are helpful like imposition, etc... but it shouldn't be too danger like beating . finally good punishments improve students
