➡➡No, caste system does not play the same role today as it played in the later vedic age because in olden days which is in the later vedic age the caste system was very strict and everyone has to follow it but these days the caste system is not so strict and democracy and equality is there amongst the people
➡➡But in some areas caste system is follow even today like in some poor villages but it is not so strict as in the olden days...
➡➡In later vedic age which is in olden days the people used to believe in untouchability and lower caste and upper caste but these days many people are not believing and following caste system and all are equal because of the Indian law and no one can criticize other on the basis of castes... Universal adult franchise which means all the adults above 18 years of age have the right to vote and without being criticized about their caste religion and gender...
