no its depend upon only father.
as there is 46 chromosome in human
and at the time of reproduction 22 chromosome from male and 22chromosome from female are given for formation of baby but for being human 46 chromosome are required so ,the chromosome given by parents are now only 44 (22 from male &22 from female) last two chromosome are sex chromosome which is x &y. this chromosome only male have and all females have only xxx chromosome so if a male give y chromosome then it will be a boy and if a male give x chromosome then its a girl

The sex of child depends on father.
Here is your full explanation:-
Human beings have 23 pairs of chromosomes in which 22 pairs are perfect pair of chromosomes and one is sex chromosomes which is not perfect pair.
Women have a perfect pair of sex chromosomes i.e, XX
but
Men have mismatched pair of sex chromosomes i.e, XY.
When the gametes fuse,
The child which inherit X chromosome from father and X chromosome from mother & form XX will be girl child.
And the child which inherit Y chromosome from father and X chromosome from mother and form XY will be a boy.
Thus sex determination of a child depends on father.
