chemical reaction in which energy is involved are known as exothermic reaction for example ..
C(s)+O2(g)----------> CO2(g) + 393.7 KJ..

reaction in which energy is absorbed are called endothermic reaction for example ...
N2(g) + O2(g) --------> 2NO(g) - 180.5KJ..
