Since the pitch of a bell is determined by the diameter-to-thickness ratio... ... Since the lower-pitched bell will need to have a larger diameter, it will need to have more metal removed from the inside and thus will weigh less than its higher-pitched moldmate. Wall thickness determines the loudness of a bell.
