Hey mate here is your answer

Yes, the high use of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides are one of the main factors causing soil pollution by increasing its salinity making it unsound for crop bearing and adversely affecting the microoganisms present in the soil causing it to lose its fertility by resulting in the loss of minerals present in the soil and by killing off more than just the intended pest. All things in nature are interrelated.

Other types of soil contamination arise from radioactive fallout, acid rain falling onto the soil, the rupture of underground storage tanks, percolation of contaminated surface water to subsurface strata, leaching of wastes from landfills or direct discharge of industrial wastes to the soil, unfavorable and harmful irrigation practices and improper septic system management and maintenance.

Hope this answer will help you!!
