Does the value of resistance of a conductor depend upon the potential difference applied across it or the current passed through it?
Answers
Answer:
Resistance is a matirial property and does not depend upon current and potential difference. It is only depend upon the shape size and matirial used in it.

Answer:It depends.
Explanation:
As you might know the formula to calculate Resistance is
V=IR
V = voltage or potential difference
I = current
R= Resistance
Clearly as you can see the resistance depends both on p.d and current.
Besides this the resistance is also directly affected by-
1) Length of conductor- Longer the conductor higher the resistance.
2) Area of cross section or thickness of conductor- Thicker it is , lower is the resistance.
3) Material of conductor- Metals have lowest resistance and insulators have highest.
4) Temperature of conductor - Lower temperature lower resistance.
