Does this mean that meiosis never occirs in orgsnisms that r haploid

When an organism already has haploid number of chromosomes, then there is no need for meiosis to occur. But in some haploid orgainsms undergoing sexual reproduction, two haploid gametes fuse to give rise to diploid zygote. The zygote then undergoes meiosis to produce haploid organism.
