Explanation:
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus. It started off from Wuhan China but has become a pandemic and affecting 199 countries in the world.
This pandemic has immensely effected the world economy, many economic activities have slowed down. Decisions making strategies have changed, people are now moving to business taht can be conducted remotely, education system is moving towards E-learning, travelling habits have changed. So people do think about the precautions of Covid while making future decisions
Yes, the pandemic has greatly affected my decision making process.
To begin with, it has made me stop and think about all the things that had previously been taken for granted. This in turn has made me reprioritize things. For example, before the pandemic, friends and family could often get together. Now however, despite taking precautions a group activity is not a very good option. So all group activities have been shelved. Therefore decisions about celebrations have become even more difficult.
The second point is related to purchasing. Prior to the pandemic, I did not put so much thought into my purchases. Now however since there is limited movement out of the house, I weigh the pros and cons of buying something before making a decision. Also I try to club two to three purchases together so that I don't need to step out of the house too frequently.
Additionally, budget has become a major criteria for everything. Most decisions, regarding products (like phones and laptops), their repair or maintenance, services (like cable and data connection) involve a financial aspect. During these uncertain times, I try not to be extravagant and take decisions accordingly.
