You just made a simple circuit with wires, a battery, a switch (made with a paper clip) and a bulb. The bulb doesn't light up. Why must you check the components if the bulb doesn't light up?

Things that we gonna check first are:-

i) Weather the switch of the circuit is on or off.

ii) See weather the wires are firmly connected to each component or not.

Now, we must check the components if the bulb doesn't light up because, its the components only which is consisting the circuit. So if there is a problem, then the whole circuit will be disturbed.
