Hello mate,
Sulphur oxides can cause several environment al problems like:

when sulphur dioxide mixes with air and water to forms sulphuric acid.
- It can cause acid rain.
- Acid rain then can cause deforestation.
- When the acid rain flows into rivers it not only reduces ph level of the water but also causes harm to aquatic life.
- It affects human respiratory system epically lungs when inhaled.
- Also during acid rain many building and monuments are effected. One such example of this is Taj Mahal.

I hope this helps u.
