Answer:

Since its inception in the year 2020, June 1st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being.”

International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Indira National School with great enthusiasm. Students of grade VII and VIII demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously.The celebration concluded with synchronized recitation of shlokas and speech by our Principal. He encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.

\huge{Question:}

✔Descriptive paragraph on "Yoga Day Celebration in school".

\huge{Answer:}

⭐Yoga Day was celebrated in our school on 21st June 2019. The chief guest was the DC of our district. He inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the lamp on the stage in our school hall. This was followed by a prayer, chanting of hymns and oath taken by all the students present. A short film was screened for the students to highlight the benefits of yoga. Students of the Yoga Club performed important asanas and performed the pranayamas (breathing exercises) for improving one’s concentration in studies. The celebration was concluded after the delivery of the vote of thanks by the Vice-Principal of the school and the singing of the National Anthem. It was indeed a very successful event.

Hope it helps you :)
