There were two best friends in my locality. One named stephen and other named as harris . They both were quite close to each other and considered each other as their own family. Our whole village was proud of their friendship. They were a role model for us. One summer month, there was less rainfall and so the vegetation cover was very low . There was low source of income , so the people were migrating to nearby towns to work as labour leaving their families behind in the village. Same happened with Stephen and Harris. They both decided to go together. They took the route from jungle as it was the shortest one. It took them less time to cross the less denser part of the forest. No sooner had they reached the denser part they heard the voice of a jungle bear. Listening to it they both at one panicked. Stephen was clever and so he hid on the branch of a tree. But Harris did not know what to do. He quickly lay down on the ground stopping his breath. The bear came and started looking for prey. He saw Harris who lay down by then. The bear started sensing Harris's breath. He went back to his cave. There was a sense of relief in the environment. Stephen was watching all this happening and was waiting for the bear to leave the place. He came down and started asking Harris if he was fine or not. But Harris did not say a word. Stephen understood the matter. He felt shame for not helping his friend to escape the mighty beast. After that no one in the village talked about the " great friendship" and Stephen and his family left for the town.
